Production Lead

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and oversee daily production operations to meet targets cost-effectively.
• Schedule workloads and manage manpower to meet production demands.
• Maintain accurate stock control and inventory records.
• Ensure timely production and delivery of products based on client requests.
• Develop detailed schedules based on strict deadlines.
• Monitor production standards, KPIs, and resolve any production issues.
• Maintain access to quality equipment and manage equipment availability for maintenance.
• Organize inventory activities and liaise with managers to formulate objectives.
• Implement Operational Excellence Procedures and Work Instructions.
• Compile daily production plans to ensure maximum efficiency.
• Analyze production data, KPIs, and optimize production parameters (e.g., dosing variances, downtime).
• Communicate with the maintenance team regarding mill availability.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports, including utility consumption.
• Supervise and evaluate production personnel performance.
• Ensure output meets quality standards and requested volumes.
• Implement and monitor quality control processes in line with company requirements.
• Enforce Health and Safety procedures within the production area.
• Address areas of non-conformance or concern with the production team.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Agriculture-related field.
• Experience in Production Management.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production environment, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Strong experience with feed milling machines is preferred.
• ERP knowledge is an added advantage.
