PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Supports Factory Management by taking a lead role in the day-to-day supervision and coordination of factory staff, materials and quality in the production of Ceramic Water Filters.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
RESPONSIBILITIES UNIQUE TO THE ROLE
Responsibility		% Contribution to job’s performance
	Coordinate the production of ceramic water filters in a manner which ensures the maintenance of product quality.	30%
	Maintain accurate and up to date records to support efficient factory processes	25%
	Monitor staff performance to optimise use of the factory’s labour resource.	20%
	Operate and maintain factory machinery/assets in accordance with the machinery maintenance register.	10%
	Ensure that work practices comply with health and safety requirements.	10%
	Any other roles added from time to time concerning departmental objectives	5%

REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications	Certificate in engineering or ceramics
Qualifications	Two years working experience in a manufacturing set up in the ceramic industry is an added advantage.
Experience	3 years + related experience in the same role.
Experience	Proficiency in computer skills
Business Understanding / Knowledge	Understanding of key concepts in quality management.
Languages	Proficiency in spoken and written English

COMMUNICATION REQUIREMENTS (MOST RELEVANT FOR THE JOB)
	Internal Stakeholders	Production, Operations, Customer service, IT & Marketing.
	External Stakeholders	Partners, Beneficiaries & Local authorities

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

Regular travel between Head office, factory, and field.
