Project Assistant

Korea Foundation for International Healthcare (KOFIH) is seeking a dedicated Project Assistant with a strong background in the health sector to support our Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) project in the Busoga Region, focused on Jinja, Uganda. This project is funded by the Republic of Korea and implemented through the KOFIH Uganda Office. Project Target Area: Busoga Region, Uganda
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the Project Management as and when required, providing reports, research, data compilation, and other administrative, logistical, and operational assistance.
- Conduct research and provide insights on relevant topics to support project decisions.
- Manage communication with key stakeholders, including government agencies, the KOFIH Uganda Office, and project partners.
- Assist in project monitoring, evaluation, and reporting, ensuring performance and risk management protocols are in place.
- Oversee documentation, reports, and project updates, ensuring timely execution of activities.
- 3+ years of experience in project management, particularly in the health or WASH sectors.
- Academic qualifications in public health, public policy management, business administration, strategy or related fields.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong communication skills, including reporting, research on related topics, and both written and verbal abilities to effectively support project management and liaise with stakeholders and team members.
- Experience in stakeholder management, including working with inter-governmental bodies.
- Proven ability in performance and risk management, project coordination, and analytical problem-solving.
- Ability to work proactively and under pressure.
Start Date: January 1st 2025 (Subject to the approval or cancellation from KOFIH Headquarters)
