Project Manager

Full-time

The Project Manager will oversee partnership, market linkages and build teams capacity to deliver the intervention. Support intervention teams to ensure increased revenue of business enterprises by the young people in the dairy value chain within the districts of Bushenyi, Sheema, Mitooma, and Rubirizi.

Duty Station: Bushenyi

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer

Directly supervises:

Project Officers

Age limit 25-45

Roles and Responsibilities:

Coordinates technical support of increased growth of business enterprises for the young people in the dairy value chain in all the APROCEL’s project districts.
In conjunction with the rest of project partners, ensure that youth access quality skilling and proper skills utilization in the dairy value chain by the young people

Provides direct level technical support to project teams.
Mentor new staff on enterprise development approaches.
Ensure good networking and collaboration relationships with line government ministries and agencies, local governments and other development partners in the project area.
Track dairy value chain enterprise development, youth engaged in dignified employment
Provides direct technical support to project teams.
Builds the capacity of project officers on Enterprise development, business incubation and management
Provides clear and documented quality standards for the organization and assesses quality standards.
Ensure strategies to ensure increased growth of business enterprises for young people in the dairy value chain are implemented
Ensure timely submission of project reports to Ripple Effect

Job Requirements

Minimum academic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, agribusiness, micro-finance, Development studies, Social Sciences, project planning and management. Post graduate training in the related field will be an added advantage. Skills is computer applications such as word, excel, outlook and PowerPoint and ability to ride a motorcycle is highly desired.

Experience:

Rich field and community development work experience with minimum of 3 years of supervising in a reputable organization
