Project Officer

Full-time

The Project Officer is responsible for providing comprehensive clinical management of clients and working with the Project Coordinator, project team and Ministry of Health, to implement project activities. S/he will ensure the efficient utilization of resources to achieve project objectives, oversee the timely delivery of services, and accurate reporting.

 

Overall Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive clinical management of clients including assessments for adverse events both at the health facility and in the community.
  • Participate in high-quality implementation research
  • Work with the Project management team to plan, budget and implement project activities
  • Work with MOH to organize regional inception meetings.
  • Work collaboratively with MOH and Haematology specialists to mentor health workers and community health care workers on Sickle cell disease (SCD) sensitization and management
  • Participate in supportive supervision, and training on SCD at health facility and community level
  • Participate in technical working group meetings and other stakeholder engagement meetings for SCD.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting, dissemination and data use to improve the program.

Coordinate logistics for implementing planned activities

Required Qualification, Experience and Competencies:
  • 1.       MBChB or related bachelor’s degree in medicine
  • 2 Years Relevant Experience
