Quality Assurance Inspector
Full-time
The Quality Assurance Inspector will be responsible for maintaining quality standards by developing quality systems that guide the approval of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products. Additionally, the job holder will provide first-line support and coordination to the departmental implementation teams in deploying organizational practices.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop and analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine present standards and establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy of finished products.
• Conduct quality training programs for all employees, emphasizing product quality, customer feedback, and continuous improvement through the identification and analysis of customer requirements.
• Create and implement systems to ensure quality within the manufacturing process, aimed at preventing defective products and reprocessing.
• Accountable for the disposition of non-conforming products based on quality checks and inspection results.
• Participate in root causes and corrective actions from product quality defects, and consumer/customer complaints, and implement corrective actions with the plant operations team.
• Routine inspection of all measuring devices to ensure accuracy.
• Ensure proper housekeeping by immediately informing the shift leader of any areas observed that do not conform to set standards.
• Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
• Approve in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and communicating required adjustments to the shift leader.
• Approve finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and returning products for rework if necessary.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, and complying with legal regulations.
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.
• Provide sales with process/product testing data per customer’s needs.
• Facilitate and provide support for the implementation of 5S (Workplace organization, focused improvement, teamwork, and visual management) across all implementation teams.
• Track critical performance measures for respective teams regarding practices and performance measures (KPIs).
• Oversee the implementation of actions related to quality.
Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Chemistry, Chemistry, or related field.
• 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing setup.
• High level of confidentiality and integrity.
• Attention to detail and analytical skills.

• Proficiency in promoting process improvement, safety management, and documentation skills.
