Quality Control Analyst

Full-time

Abacus Pharma is hiring a Quality Control Analyst to ensure the effective and timely testing of all samples in compliance with requirements and evolving quality procedures. The role involves prioritizing testing, resource management, and effective communication across all levels.

 

Key Responsibilities

Compliance and Quality Assurance:

  1. Adhere to cGMP, GLP, and ISO procedures that guide quality control processes.
  2. Conduct quality control tests on water, bulk, raw materials, stability samples, and finished products.

Documentation and Reporting:

  1. Document and prepare reports for all quality control activities performed online.
  2. Revise and prepare SOPs and COAs as required in the QC process.

Laboratory Operations:

  1. Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment as per schedule.
  2. Interpret QC process documents and perform method validation and verification for new methods.
  3. Properly use and handle chemicals, consumables, and laboratory glassware.

Sample and Standard Management:

  1. Sample raw materials (RM), finished products (FP), and prepare reagents as per production requirements.
  2. Handle, maintain, and prepare working and reference standards according to SOPs.

Collaborative Work:

  1. Work with analysts and team leaders to meet batch processing timelines.
  2. Participate in training, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Investigation and Escalation:

  1. Participate in OOS, OOT investigations, deviation handling, change control, CAPA closure, and quality risk management.
  2. Communicate and escalate incidents, near misses, and accidents appropriately.

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Perform analysis for various samples (intermediate, finished product, raw material, stability, PPM, and SPM) as per specifications.
  2. Perform online reporting and maintain records accurately.
  3. Use provided personal protective gear appropriately.

Authorities

  • Conduct chemical analysis of all sample types.
  • Sign work reports.
  • Request reports and logbooks.
  • Release intermediate samples.
  • Request chemicals and glassware.

Competencies

  1. Strong report writing, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  2. Proficiency in computer skills with adaptability to change.
  3. Creativity, innovation, and problem-solving skills.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or an equivalent field.
  2. Experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry is an advantage.
