Quantitative Analyst

Full-time

The Quantitative Analyst is responsible for analyzing large datasets to generate insights that inform business strategies, policy decisions, and program evaluations. This role involves the use of statistical models, data mining techniques, and advanced analytics to interpret complex data and produce actionable recommendations. The Quantitative Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision-making.

 

 

Key Responsibilities
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and correlations using statistical methods and data mining techniques to support project objectives
• Develop, test, and validate predictive models to forecast outcomes and inform strategic decisions using tools such as Stata, R, Python, Excel to conduct statistical analyses

• Extract, clean, and process raw data from various sources to prepare it for analysis.

• Maintain and update databases to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
• Develop and automate data pipelines to streamline data collection, processing, and analysis.

• Prepare detailed reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders clearly and effectively.

• Translate complex data analysis into actionable insights and recommendations for business or programmatic decisions.
• Present analysis results to senior management, program teams, and other stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
• Design and implement robust quantitative research methodologies to answer specific research questions or test hypotheses.

• Stay updated on the latest quantitative research methods and analytical tools to enhance the quality of analysis.
• Collaborate with qualitative researchers to integrate quantitative and qualitative data for comprehensive insights.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance and operations to support data-driven decision-making and understand our needs
• Provide technical support and guidance to team members on quantitative analysis techniques.
• Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and validity of analysis results through rigorous testing and validation processes.
• Implement best practices for data quality control, including outlier detection, missing data treatment, and data consistency checks.

Education Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Data  Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree or higher is a plus.
• Post graduate studies in Research Methodologies is highly desirable

Preferred Skills
• Advanced proficiency in statistical software and programming languages (e.g., R, Python, SAS).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Excel).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.

Experience
• At least 2-4 years of experience in quantitative analysis, with a focus on statistical modeling, data mining, or econometrics.
• Fieldwork experience including field data collection especially in rural and urban settings with face-to-face and/or telephone interviews
