Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Attend comprehensive training and actively participate in all preparatory activities for data collection.
• Engage in the recruitment of study participants, explaining the study’s importance and securing informed consent.
• Administer structured interviews and questionnaires in-person, ensuring the accuracy and thoroughness of the data collected.
• Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism.
• Securely manage and store all collected data, ensuring its integrity and accuracy before submission.
• Transcribe and translate audio files as required.
• Regularly meet with your supervisor to submit collected data and discuss progress.
• Promptly report any issues with equipment or data integrity to management.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

• A Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field (e.g., Environmental Health, Public Health, Nursing, Medicine) or in the humanities (e.g., Social Sciences).
• A Master’s degree will be considered an added advantage.
• At least one year of experience in qualitative and quantitative data collection.
• Demonstrated ability in conducting Key Informant Interviews, Focus Group Discussions, and In-depth Interviews.
• Independent work ethic with the ability to adhere to strict guidelines.
• Certificates in Good Clinical Practice or Human Subject Research will be advantageous.
• Proficiency in English and Luganda, both verbal and written.
• Experience in transcription and translation is required.
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to high-quality data collection.

Duration of Engagement
