Resource Mobilisation Coordinator

Full-time

Watoto Church and Child Care Ministries is hiring a Resource Mobilisation Coordinator to support with the coordination process for production of high-quality proposals and grant applications. Identification of new anc non-traditional sources of funding from a range of institutional donors to leverage Watoto’s funding

Key Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to).

  • Ensure there is effective coordination of resource mobilisation activities and maintain a positive working relationship with Community Care team.
  • Contribute and participate in all all-fundraising related activities when required
  • Advise programme quality teams and finance on relevant donor requirements, potential funding opportunities, changes in donor priorities and ensure quality grant management.
  • Oversee development and submission of all external donor reports in compliance with donor requirements and deadlines.
  • Liaise with all the funding affiliates and relevant departments to ensure high quality and timely submission of proposals, concept notes and project reports to donors and funding affiliate.
  • Determine proposal concept, study requests for proposals (RFPs) and attend strategy meetings.
  • Facilitate discussions, generate ideas and concepts, and translate these into innovative grant-winning proposals.
  • Lead grant writing for assigned proposals and manage grants management lifecycle to ensure timeliness and accuracy of relevant data.
  • Establish and implement proper grants management procedures, including but not limited to award notifications, grant agreements, and grant reporting.
  • Design initiatives that enhance internal capacity for grant writing and proposal development and assist in preparing budgets for grant applications.
  • Manage applications, correspondences, records, reports and other documentation for new and existing donors and Funders.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience.

  • The applicant for the role should hold at least a minimum of a master’s degree in social sciences, humanities, development studies, human rights, political science, or other relevant discipline.
  • At least a minimum of four years’ working experience with an NGO in a resource mobilisation position involving proposal development and donor liaison.
  • Experience of developing successful proposals or tender bids to the EU, DFID, USAID, and
  • Experience with local and international funding organisations and resource mobilisation
  • Proven ability to identify and pursue strategic funding opportunities.
  • Should have an excellent writing, reasoning, and analytical skills
