Senior Risk Officer
Full-time
The Senior Risk Officer will develop, implement and monitor an effective Enterprise Risk Management framework & Business Continuity Management Program at UEGCL to support the company in achieving its strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Development, implementation and review of the risk management policy and strategy towards fulfilment of the Company’s mission and strategic goals.
• Develop and implement risk management programs, systems and procedures for the identification, assessment and management of potential risks in accordance with applicable risk management standards.
• Identify, analyse, assess and report potential and actual risks in a timely manner and formulate appropriate responses accordingly.
• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly and annual risk management reports for use by the Head of Risk and Management.
• Development, implementation and review of a Business Continuity Management Program in
• Train, sensitize and champion risk and Business Continuity management to UEGCL management and staff.
• Monitor performance against set risk management strategy and policy and coordinate the implementation of the risk mitigation actions by the respective business units.
• Monitor performance of the Business Continuity program for progress in achieving the set targets for business resilience
Education and Professional Requirements
• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance & Accounting or Actuarial Science.
• Possession of a master’s degree with a bias towards Engineering, Finance, Risk management, Project management, or Business Administration.
• Risk Management certification.
• Business Continuity certification.
• Membership in a relevant professional body such as ACCA, UIPE/ERB, IRM is an added advantage
Related Job Experience
• Experience in infrastructure/plant operations management and knowledge of the electricity sub-sector.
• At least 3 years’ experience in a risk role in a power plant, project or related area
• At least 6 years of overall work experience in risk management.
