Supply Chain Coordinator

UGACOF is hiring a Supply Chain Coordinator responsible for steering the implementation of projects and operations across the Arabica Supply Chain in Western Uganda.
Reports to: Commercial Manager
Department: Operations
Key Responsibilities:
Coffee Operations
- Monitor and enforce strict implementation of the set SOPs across all stages of operation.
- Operationalize and improve utilization and efficiency of new CAPEX (Centiflux, WWTP) across CWSs.
- Traceability: Identify gaps and remedy them to boost volumes from our certified farmers (Sourcing models, recording of transactions, CROPIN).
- Any other ongoing or future roaster interventions within the supply chain.
- Scale specialty supply chain.
- Act as a liaison between the origin and the Sucafina Specialty sales offices worldwide.
- Scale production of Specialty Coffee within the supply chain (gaps implementation and quality alignment).
- Build a diverse and sticky client base for existing or new specialty coffee outlets.
- Maintain relationships with existing customers as and when instructed by destination offices.
Farmer Financing & Project Implementation
- Develop a comprehensive toolkit on farmer financing, including:
- Establishing a sound methodology for farmer identification and credit limits.
- Establishing digital and in-person checks regarding credit exposure.
- Scaling LendX implementation and developing a data strategy around all credit scoring data, pitching to banks and Development Financing Institutions for credit lines.
Nurseries & Data Collection
- Oversee nurseries at each CWS (seedling production and distribution, farmer selection).
- Lead data collection and synthesis for all activities.
- Build PBI dashboards to support decision-making.
Implement Strategic Partner Projects
- Starbucks: Lead implementation of various investments and tasks executed at CWS or farm level.
- Identify and monitor credit assistance to farmers for farm-based interventions.
- Oversee demo plots (volume generation, investment, KPIs around farmer adoption).
- Manage pulp composting (distribution to farmers, nutrition).
Qualifications:
- A degree in Commercial, Finance, International Business, Mathematics, Economics, or Business Management.
Experience & Technical Competencies:
- 3-5 years of experience in a reporting role.
- Strong Excel and Power BI skills.
- Strong reporting and data organization skills.
- Understanding of origin commodity supply chains and reading of international financial markets.
