Talent Development & Engagement Manager

Full-time

The Talent Development & Engagement Manager will be responsible for training and development through formulation, sourcing, and implementation of development interventions aligned with business competence and capability requirements. The role is also responsible for the development, implementation, and coordination of engagement activities to enhance staff capacity and commitment to delivering the business objectives

Function: Human Resource.

Reporting to: Human Resource Director.

Key Result Areas

  • Build a comprehensive learning and development model for Airtel Uganda.
  • Develop processes, policies, and strategies to support the delivery of Learning & development initiatives.
  • Project future training needs based on business requirements and changes.
  • Develop and implement leadership and competence enhancement programs in line with identified behavioural competence gaps.
  • Develop a structural process for the identification and analysis of learning and development needs, to ensure that performance gaps or skills gaps are addressed effectively.
  • Coordinate financial planning, recording, and reporting of all learning and development activities to ensure budget management.
  • Coordinate and support 3rd Party Training partners’ activities in line with the signed contract.
  • Develop and coordinate the production of Learning and Development Content.
  • Develop, modify, implement, and maintain learning and development programmes.
  • To develop processes to create a best-in-class on-boarding experience for the new joiners.
  • Monitoring and tracking tools developed and maintained for all the sections’ activities.
  • Develop and implement Employee engagement programs.
  • Any other duties as may be assigned.

Ideal Candidate

  • Degree in Human Resource Management/Organizational Development or other relevant qualification.
  • Minimum of 6 years experience, with at least 3 in a managerial position and with expertise in training, content development, business partnering and talent development.
  • Passionate, self-driven and results-driven.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated capacity to research, develop, lead, and manage projects of varying complexity.
  • Analytical and execution capabilities.
  • Strong project planning and management skills.
  • Collaboration and partnership skills.
  • Highly organised with the ability to multitask.
