Treasury Manager

BPIL is looking to recruit a suitable candidate for Treasury Manager position
BPIL also produces chicken meat products under the Pearl Chicken Brand.
Duty station: Bugolobi, Kampala
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitoring and managing the Company’s bank relationships and liquidity management
- Managing foreign currency exposure and foreign currency payments
- Analysing various scenarios and risks and reporting to senior management
- Forecasting of medium and long-term funding and hedging requirements (if applicable)
Foreign exchange risk management and development of foreign exchange risk mitigation strategies - Understand, manage, and supervise all aspects of cash flow.
- Forecast daily cash requirements and execute daily financing decisions.
- Review and manage all petty cash payments, ensure that they are adequately supported and posted timely into Business Central.
- Evaluate, develop and implement cash management systems to optimize efficiencies.
- Prepare or monitor company’s various cash flow forecasts and perform financial modellin
- Monitor bank service fees and address any quality issues.
- Ensure that Bank reconciliations of all BPIL accounts are prepared, reviewed, and approved in a timely manner in line with the approved treasury policy.
- Automation of all manual transactions where applicable
- Ensure proper internal control policies are in place and implemented.
- Assist the auditors during the audits, through responding to audit queries and providing any required information.
Education and Experience level: Bachelor of Commerce, Business Administration (Accounting/Finance)
Full ACCA/CPA. Must have 5-6 years of experience in a busy commercial environment.
