Einstein Rising is hiring a dynamic and data-driven Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Officer to strengthen our learning systems and ensure evidence-based decision-making across our programs. Key Responsibilities:
Data Collection, Management & Quality Assurance
- Design, test, and implement digital data collection tools (KoboToolbox, ODK, SurveyCTO, or similar)
- Develop and maintain databases to track key performance indicators across projects
- Clean, validate, and manage datasets to ensure data integrity and consistency
- Coordinate data collection processes with program and field teams, ensuring timely submission.
- Work collaboratively with project leads and the IT team to integrate M&E data systems and enhance digital reporting efficiency
- Monitoring, Reporting & Learning
- Develop and track project logframes, performance indicator reference sheets (PIRS), and M&E plans.
- Analyze program data to assess progress, identify trends, and generate actionable insights.
- Produce regular M&E reports, visual dashboards, and summaries for internal learning and donor reporting.
- Facilitate quarterly reflection and learning sessions to share results and lessons learned with teams and entrepreneurs.
- Collaborate with project leads to align monitoring activities with project goals and reporting timelines
Evaluation & Research
- Support baseline, midline, and endline assessments to evaluate program outcomes and impact.
- Design and conduct surveys, focus group discussions, and key informant interviews with entrepreneurs and stakeholders.
- Contribute to learning papers, case studies, and success stories that highlight enterprise growth and social impact.
Technical & Capacity Support
- Build staff capacity on data collection, analysis, and adaptive learning approaches.
- Support integration of M&E tools into Einstein Rising’s digital ecosystem (CRM, Google Workspace, or Power BI).
- Work with the IT team to ensure smooth operation of data management systems and troubleshoot technical issues related to M&E tools.
- Ensure adherence to ethical standards and data privacy policies in all M&E activities.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, Statistics, Economics, Development Studies, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in M&E, preferably in enterprise development, livelihoods, or social innovation projects.
- Proficiency in Excel and at least one data analysis or visualization tool (SPSS, STATA, Power BI, or Google Data Studio).
- Experience with digital data collection tools such as KoboToolbox, ODK, or SurveyCTO.
- Excellent analytical, writing, and presentation skills.
- A proactive mindset with strong attention to detail and commitment to results and learning.
