D.Light is hiring a Regional Sales Manager responsible for achieving revenue targets for their assigned region by aligning their sales teams to volume sales of units s as per the budget and collections targets
Reporting to: Head of Sales & Distribution
Direct Reportees: Territory Sales Managers
Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide market leadership in the design & entrenchment of Retail execution, mutual benefit customers’ trade relationships while building healthy product & brand portfolios.
 - Ensure the sales team win at the Point of Sale (POS) through excellent Trade Marketing execution & relationship management.
 - Lead in the formulation of the tactical sales strategy, Business plans implementation programs & budgets within designated region.
 - Engage & manage staff performance, capability & capacity development through coaching & field accompaniments.
 - Optimize Route to Market through design & implementation of robust best practice in sales & Distribution models including third party management.
 - Be the company’s main representative in the region
 - Ensure quality customers are on boarded and delinquency is maintained below 20% hence achieving the collections target
 - Ensure stock / Inventory management is done with in the acceptable and laid down procedures and expectations at each and every stock location under their jurisdiction
 - Review and assess new customers on-boarded within their area of jurisdiction for quality of payments to ensure the portfolio health is within the defined threshold
 - Evaluate and study high-risk accounts and analyze all customer payment patterns within the area of jurisdiction to drive compliance as per defined risk & Quality of Sales processes by taking the necessary remedial actions to cause-correct customers behind their payment schedules
 
Requirements
Desired Skills and Experience
- Minimum of a degree or its equivalent in a business field acquired from a reputable university.
 - At least 5 years’ experience working in a rapid sales growth environment.
 - Proven track record of hitting and exceeding targets and building partnerships
 - Demonstrate problem solving capability – ability to create win-win situations while deriving desired numbers and outcomes.
 - Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
 - Competency in Microsoft applications including word, excel and outlook.
 - Superb interpersonal skills.
 - Willingness to spend an average of 4 days a week in the field
 - A valid Ugandan driving license
 - Strong mindset for continuous improvement and meeting or exceeding expectations and able to demonstrate complete discretion and confidentiality.
