Opportunity Bank is hiring a Treasury Supervisor to identify, evaluate and manage investment and funding opportunities for the company and ensure accurate and timely regulatory and management reporting.

Reports to:                 Chief Finance Officer

Duty Station:             Head Office

 

Key Result Areas:

Investment

  • Evaluate and manage investment and funding opportunities for the company.

Liquidity Management

  • Negotiate with banks/other entities for a profitable investment of excess liquidity and in compliance with the existing regulations.
  • Ensure that there is access to Liquidity, and proper management of Liquidity at the Branches.
  • Source for the lowest cost possible funding through projections of bank’s activities.

Administration

  • Focal point for any Treasury issues between the company and the Banks/other Financial Institutions
  • Act as Secretary to the Asset Liability Management committee (ALCO), Board (ALCO) and responsible for availing the ALCO with the necessary information for decision making purposes.

Forex management and monitoring

  • Ensure profitable running of the forex operations in the bank
  • Ensure close monitoring of the forex position

Regulatory and financial Reporting

  • Prepare, analyze and ensure timely and accurate submission of required reports to regulatory agencies (BOU) as well as to the Management funders.
  • Prepare and manage the, weekly and Monthly cash flow projections.
  • Check and approve bank reconciliation statements and follow up on any unreconciling items.
  • Monitor compliance with funders’ regulations and agreements.
  • Any other business as required by your Supervisor

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in BCOM or other business relevant course
  • Professional Course such as ACCA or CPA is an added advantage
  • 3 years’ experience in a financial institution in the finance and Treasury department
