King Ceasor University is hiring an Accountant to prepare analyses and maintain financial records, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and providing insights for informed decision-making and University growth.

Reports to: Director of Finance

Engagement: Full-time Contract

Duration: 3 years, renewable upon satisfactory performance

Duty Station: Main Campus (Ggaba Road, Kampala Uganda)

Key responsibilities

  1. Assisting the Director Finance in the following functions;
  2. Coordination of the drawing up and managing the University Budget
  3. Maintain and Present books of Accounts for Auditing
  4. Give regular financial reports
  5. Supervision of Staff in the Finance   Department
  6. Coordination of the Implementation  and Development of Financial and operational management systems
  7. Coordinate and Implement Financial policies
  8. Maintaining and updating  the University’s  Asset Register
  9. Computing the value of the University’s Physical Assets
  10. Assists with the accounts payable, revenue collection and financial administration functions of the department

Competencies and Attributes

  1. Master’s Degree in finance and accounting
  2. Full Professional Qualifications in Accounting and Finance
  3. Evidence of Membership with the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda.
  4. Membership with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) is an added advantage
  5. A minimum of five (5) year’s qualification experience.
  6. Extensive Computer knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Vision Excel, Word, PowerPoint, other accounting software is required
