Housing Fiance Bank is hiring a Bancassurance Sales Officer responsible for growing insurance sales across multiple assigned channels. These may include branch networks, centre relationship managers, digital platforms, telesales, lead generation initiatives, among others.
She/he will work with all stakeholders (i.e., Insurers and Bank Customers) to ensure proper communication and strengthen loyalty, business growth, premium collections, and remittance with the end goal of increasing profits
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the implementation of strategies necessary to generate leads and close business as per the set business goals/targets i.e.
- Identify markets, cross selling, Up selling, prepare quotations, schedule meetings, activations, and presentations with potential clients (working closely with the specified Officers).
- Keep track of client Insurance Renewals (Prepare renewal documents, quotes), closing instructions and proposal forms for clients. Communicates with insurers on any negotiations and/or following requests from clients.
- Ensure timely collection of customer premiums and make reminder premium payment calls or issue demand notices to customers so as to meet regulation requirements
- Support Insurance productivity (Both Life & Non-Life) from the Bank branches through training and customer engagement in liaison with the Specified Officer(s).
- Work closely with the Insurance Companies to ensure efficient delivery of services to Bank customers i.e., engage in operational review meetings
- Preparation and sharing of weekly reports to both Retail and Corporate segments to drive sales growth.
- Conduct inspections, risk assessments, client trainings, client visits and service on a day-to-day basis – to drive pipeline activities along with the Bancassurance Officers.
- Actively participate in Insurance Sales activation programs organized by Branch management and insures in conjunction with the Principal Officer – Bancassurance
- Provide technical support to the Branch network in form of product trainings, customer profiling, and guidance on business closures.
- Ensure compliance to the Bank’s policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor productivity for sales functions with insurance targets.
- Monitor all sales pipelines for insurance business opportunities.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- An honours Degree in Business Finance, Business Administration, Commerce, Quantitative Economics, Management and Business Statistics or any other related field from a recognized University
- A Certificate of Proficiency in Insurance
- A Certificate In Insurance
- Proven track record of sales and Knowledge of insurance business (claims management & underwriting), products and processes.
- Prior Knowledge and understanding of the current Industry Bancassurance business / regulatory operations.
- Professional selling and negotiation skills
- Communication skills.
- Drive for results.
- Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills.
