These solutions aim to improve communication and provide easy access to syllabus-aligned Science and Mathematics lessons.
The Project: Cyber School Technology Solutions (CSTS) is implementing the “Uganda eLearning Initiative for Education Institutions Program. The aim is to improve access to quality and relevant education in selected Education Institutions (EIs), both Universities and TVETs, for the youth in these EIs to transition into dignified & fulfilling work. It is a 5-year program that commenced in January 2022

–        Keep the communications strategy updated and the annual work plan aligned with the Uganda eLearning Initiative for Education Institutions Program and Mastercard Foundation guidelines. 
 – Ensure consistent branding, messaging, and tone across all communication platforms. – Maintain an up-to-date stakeholder database for the initiative. – Ensure all communications outputs comply with Foundation branding guidelines and reflect program values. – Keep the Crisis and Reputational Risk Mitigation Plan updated, including clear reporting and escalation protocols. – Capture and amplify youth voices through written, digital, and multimedia formats that demonstrate program impact.

–        Document and package success stories, case studies, and lessons learned from program implementation. 
 – Review and update communication materials such as briefs, brochures, fact sheets, infographics, newsletters, and presentations tailored to stakeholder needs. – Translate insights from program monitoring and evaluation (M&E) data into accessible and engaging communication products. – Manage relationships with media outlets, coordinating press briefings, interviews, and coverage.

–        Review and update a media engagement strategy for the Uganda eLearning Initiative. 
 – Manage the program’s digital presence, including website content, newsletters, and social media platforms. – Design and lead digital campaigns to increase awareness and uptake of eLearning resources. – Draft and disseminate media releases, op-eds, and feature articles in consultation with program leadership. – Build and maintain relationships with journalists, influencers, and media outlets to secure accurate and positive coverage. – Monitor analytics and audience engagement to optimize reach and effectiveness.

| Stakeholder Communication and Coordination.

–        Provide timely, tailored communication updates to key stakeholders, including youth, government agencies, education institutions, implementing partners, Mastercard Foundation, and other funders. 
 – Collaborate with internal teams (Project Manager, M&E, Gender Specialist, Finance, HR) to ensure aligned and accurate messaging. – Support events, training, and launches by preparing media kits, talking points, and branded communication materials. – Serve as the focal point for communication with governance bodies and strategic partners. – Strengthen internal communication across CSTS and project partners.

| Monitoring, Learning, and Reporting | –        Monitor and evaluate communication activities against agreed indicators (reach, engagement, feedback). 
 – Production quarterly and annually – communication reports to feed into CSTS and Foundation reporting requirements. – Continuously adapt communication strategies based on lessons learned and evolving project needs. Provide evidence-based communication inputs for donor and stakeholder reporting.  |

| Qualifications & Experience | –        Bachelor’s degree in communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related field (master’s degree an added advantage). 
 – Minimum of 5 to 7 years’ experience in communication roles, preferably within development, education, or donor-funded projects. – Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with proven ability to develop engaging multimedia content. – Proficiency in digital media management, graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite), and content management systems. Demonstrated experience working with international donors and knowledge of donor branding/visibility guidelines. – Excellent interpersonal and networking skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
