Role Overview

WFD is seeking a results-driven Country Consultant – Uganda to lead and execute strategic initiatives that expand access to safe, accurate, and stigma-free sexual and reproductive health (SRH) information.

The consultant will act as the primary focal point for WFD in Uganda, delivering measurable impact through partnerships, outreach, and innovative eLearning engagement with both digital and offline communities.

Location: Uganda (remote with travel as required)
Contract Type: Part-time consultancy (12 months, renewable based on performance and funding)
Compensation: $700 USD per month, with paid leave days, sick leave days, and recognition of national holidays
Language Requirement: Fluency in English and Luganda

About the Organization

Women First Digital (WFD) is a nonprofit e-Health organization founded in 2015, dedicated to transforming sexual and reproductive healthcare through accessible, people-centered digital solutions. WFD empowers individuals—particularly women and young people—by providing confidential, multilingual, and culturally sensitive information and support.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provider Certification & Training Outcomes

  • Facilitate and document the certification of 1,000 providers attending WFD eLearning courses.

2. Referral Network Support & Strengthening

  • Update WFD’s referral network by engaging existing providers, confirming suitability, and gathering feedback.

  • Add new providers, especially in underserved areas.

  • Identify and onboard one legal support organization and one emotional support organization to the referral network.

3. Partnerships for Promotion

  • Secure collaborations with five national NGOs/youth organizations to promote WFD platforms.

  • Contract six local digital personalities to amplify WFD campaigns and deliver measurable engagement.

  • Collaborate with DKT Uganda to participate in at least four promotional events.

  • Update Uganda-specific content across WFD websites, counselling platforms, and AI tools to ensure cultural relevance.

  • Support the co-design and dissemination of both online and offline SRH promotional materials.

4. Project Management, Reporting & Budgeting

  • Develop and execute an annual workplan.

  • Prepare monthly activity reports for WFD.

  • Submit six-monthly and annual progress reports.

  • Manage budgets in coordination with the WFD Finance Team, ensuring proper provider contracting, invoicing, and accountability.

Required Qualifications

  • 2–3 years’ proven experience in SRH program delivery, advocacy, or communications within Uganda.

  • Strong experience in partner/stakeholder management, ideally within the SRH sector.

  • Established networks within Uganda’s NGO, health, and digital influencer ecosystems.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and deliver on targets.

  • Familiarity with Uganda’s youth and digital culture.

  • Must own a laptop, personal phone, and have reliable internet connectivity.
