KCB Bank Uganda is hiring a Database Officer with the following duties and responsibilities;

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor health and performance of databases under supervision of DBA.
  • Assist in executing maintenance activities (e.g., indexing, patching).
  • Support user account management and respond to access-related issues.
  • Track and escalate database anomalies and alerts.
  • Maintain detailed documentation, backup logs and compliance records

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • Required
  • Professional Qualifications ITIL Foundation, DB Fundamentals (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL)

Added Advantage

  • Masters Degree: MSC (Technology or Business)

  • Minimum No of 2 Years Experience in IT operations or support roles (databases, scripts, or system admin)
