Ambrosoli International School is seeking a dedicated and skilled Facilities Manager to join our Operations Team. This key role ensures that our school campus is safe, welcoming, and well-maintained, supporting an inspiring learning environment for our pupils, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
• Oversee the daily management of school facilities, including classrooms, playgrounds, offices, and grounds. 

• Ensure the highest standards of health, safety, and safeguarding, with particular attention to child safety

• Manage preventative and reactive maintenance of buildings, equipment, and systems (electric, plumbing, security, fire safety, etc.).

• Supervise cleaning, security, and groundskeeping staff and contractors.

• Coordinate projects such as refurbishments, renovations, and school improvements.

• Monitor and manage facilities budgets effectively.

• Lead sustainability and eco-friendly initiatives in line with the school’s values.

• Work closely with the school leadership team to ensure facilities support the day-to-day running of the school.

About You 

• Proven experience in facilities or operations management.

• Strong knowledge of health, safety, and compliance regulations (safeguarding knowledge is an advantage).

• Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively.

• Strong leadership and communication skills, able to work with staff, contractors, and the wider school community.

• A proactive, hands-on approach with a commitment to creating a safe, nurturing environment for children.

• Relevant professional qualifications are desirable in Business Management, Engineering (civil, electrical, mechanical), Procurement and Logistics, or a closely related discipline.
