Cerba Lancet Uganda Limited is hiring a Finance Manager responsible for delivering a complete set of financials that accurately reflect the financial status of the company, implementing departmental policies and strategies in line with organizational guidelines.
Location: Bweyogerere – Kampala Head Office (opposite UNBS Headquarters)

Key Responsibilities
Finance Duties
-
Accountable for delivering a complete set of financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Statement of Cash Flow, and Statement of Changes in Equity) that reflect the organization’s financial status.

Achieve financial results according to budget (profit & loss).

Check and authorize all payments processed through the system, ensuring system and process integrity.
-
Ensure and verify that control accounts are balanced.
-
Responsible for the upkeep of the fixed asset register to ensure proper capturing and records.

Build a GL reconciliation file, check all reconciliations, and sign off to ensure financial integrity.
-
Prepare monthly financial reports to monitor performance, track expenditure trends, and contribute to strategic organizational planning.

Implement credit control policy and coordinate debt collection.
-
Assist the Chief Finance Officer in annual planning processes for budgets, staffing, and operational matters.

Coordinate financial policy, monitor monthly reports, and ensure adherence to financial rules within the Group.

Maintain accurate filing and record-keeping systems for financial statements and company documents.
-
Prepare and monitor financial forecasts.
-
Monitor financial details to ensure legal compliance.
-
Analyse revenue, expenses, cash flows, and balance sheets.
-
Ensure billing is done on time and participate in recovery of difficult clients.

Responsible for all tax compliance.

Facilitate internal, external, and statutory audits.

Ensure the company’s debtors book is fully reconciled with clients’ records.

Ensure the company’s creditors book is fully reconciled with suppliers’ records.
-
Provide advice to the company on investment decisions.
Managerial Duties
-
Contribute as part of the senior management team to annual planning processes for budgets, marketing, staffing, and operations.

Participate in implementation of changes to procedures, policies, and systems to support business expansion and compliance.
-
Adhere to professional conduct requirements and ensure compliance within the team.

Attend in-service training, seminars, and CPD activities to update knowledge and skills.

Perform supervisory responsibilities including conflict resolution, team development, motivation, disciplinary processes, time and attendance monitoring, and employee performance evaluation.

Investigate and resolve customer complaints to maintain a positive organizational image.
-
Attend and report on departmental matters in management meetings.
-
Manage ISO processes for the finance department and administrative duties for staff.
-
Manage staff resources to ensure productivity and efficiency.
-
Provide day-to-day leadership and direction for the finance and accounts department.
Administrative Duties
-
Oversee the administrative function of the company.

Conduct teaching, coaching, mentoring, training, and motivation of administrative personnel, interns, and students where applicable.

Perform any other duty assigned by the manager.
Qualifications
-
Relevant degree in Business Administration (Finance or related field).
-
Mandatory certification: ACCA / CIMA / CPA.
-
Minimum 3 to 5 years relevant working experience in a similar role.

Additional management studies are an added advantage.
