KCB Bank Uganda is hiring a Finance Officer Reconciliations with the following duties and responsibilities;

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze all the monthly reconciliation reports prepared by the various officers of the Bank and prepare a reconciliation status report to be submitted to Management.
  • Ensure the general ledger integrity through monitoring the utilization of suspense accounts and resolution of non-compliant transactions with the policy guided time frame.
  • Ensure full reconciliation of all the systems utilized by the Bank to process transactions e.g. Oracle Financials, Sopra, Core Banking system and any other transaction processing systems,
  • Identify opportunities to streamline reconciliation processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new reconciliation tools, systems, and processes.
  • Responsible for the preparation and filing of accurate tax returns (VAT, withholding taxes, Excise duty etc.) in compliance with applicable tax regulations and guidelines
  • Process vendor/service provider invoices as per the applicable internal policy guidelines and processes and perform reconciliation of vendor accounts were required.
  • Monitor asset acquisitions, disposals, depreciation, and impairments to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Develop and maintain efficient accounting processes for asset tracking, management and reporting.

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration is required
  • Professional Qualifications like ACCA, CPAU – Level 2 are an added advantage

Experience

  • A Minimum of 1 Year Experience in Financial Accounting, Taxation Management, Stakeholder Management, Banking Operations, Risk Management and Digital skills.
