Octagon Uganda is hiring a Fund Accountant responsible for the accurate financial management, reporting of investment schemes and overseeing financial operations of schemes.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Investment Accounting and Fund Accounts
Preparation - Reconciliation and Scheme Billing
Tax Administration and accurate filing of tax returns - Prepare audit data and Coordinate with auditors and scheme stakeholders to facilitate smooth audit progress
- File annual returns for schemes with UBRA
- File and follow up on Tax Compliance
Certificates for schemes (TCC) - Attend Board of Trustees meetings and present financial statements
Qualifications, Education and Competencies - Bachelor’s Degree in Accounts, Commerce, Finance, Mathematics or a Business-related field from a recognized institution.
- 4- 5 years of professional experience in accounting or tinance roles, with at least /ears in a Fund accounting.
- CPA or ACCA qualification is a must
