Q-Sourcing Limited trading on behalf of our client in the Manufacturing Sector, we are looking for competent, skilled, and experienced Graduate Trainee / Coffee Trainee to work in Kampala, Namanve.
The Volcafe trainee programme is a long-established programme that has successfully mentored, supported and developed exceptional talent who have gone on to hold a variety of
leadership positions across our industry leading global business.
A two-year (minimum) programme designed to drive hands-on learning across all areas of the coffee business and industry. Consisting of core and elective modules (rotations) including but not limited to; sourcing/purchasing, production operations, quality, trading, logistics, sustainability and finance. Trainees will work with their key programme sponsors and a diverse range of expert mentors across the business to build the knowledge, skills and acumen required to successfully complete each module to achieve final graduation. Only then are trainee graduates able to launch their career potential with Volcafe within their chosen functional field.
Location: Namanve, however our trainee journey will begin in Kyagalanyi Coffee Limited Volcafe’s company in Uganda, but you must be open global relocations as required for rotations and career progression.

Key Responsibilities:
Key Accountabilities
- Contract Execution & Performance Monitoring
- Ensure timely and accurate execution of assigned contracts, continuously measuring and monitoring performance to deliver exceptional service to customers and minimize the cash cycle. Proactively seek clarity on actions and their underlying rationale.
- Team Collaboration & Learning
- Demonstrate a proactive, curious, and collaborative approach to work. Engage with senior team members and cross-functional departments to understand priorities, improve performance and meet departmental KPIs.
- Cost Tracking & Reporting
- Maintain clear and accurate records of all costs related to shipments. Support the Head of Logistics in controlling and reporting logistics-related expenditures.
- Customer & Stakeholder Communication
- Provide consistent, timely, and accurate updates to internal and external stakeholders regarding shipment status. Respond to customer needs within contractual boundaries and as directed by the Head of Logistics.
- Data Management & Quality Assurance
- Ensure high-quality data entry and real-time updates in shared systems and folders. Maintain organized and accessible records to support operational transparency and decision-making.
- Support to Head of Logistics
- Collaborate effectively on any additional tasks or projects assigned by the Head of Logistics to help achieve departmental goals and strategic objectives.
Mandatory Qualifications & Experience:
- First class & Second-Class upper in BA or MBA in Business, Finance, Economics, or International Trade from a leading educational institute.
Key Competencies:
- MS Office, Excel, Power BI (desirable)
- Analytical and research skills
- Business level English verbal and written
- Driver’s license
- Citizen or permanent resident of Uganda, Tanzania and Kenya
- Valid passport with no restrictions to travel (globally)
- Willing and able to relocate globally at short notice for weeks/months at a time
- Willing and able to support highly flexible working hours (e.g. shift patterns, during harvest, special projects etc).
