The International University of East Africa (IUEA) is hiring a Human Resource Manager to help strengthen its administrative team. The successful candidate will support an efficient, inclusive work environment and contribute to the University’s growth through effective people-management and institutional development.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Oversee recruitment, selection, onboarding, and retention of academic and non-academic staff.
  2. Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and performance management systems.
  3. Ensure compliance with labour laws, university regulations, and accreditation requirements.
  4. Manage employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes.
  5. Management of staff welfare, and payroll
  6. Maintain accurate HR records and produce timely HR reports.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Human Resource Management or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant HR experience, preferably within the education sector or a large organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of labour laws, HR best practices, and institutional governance.
  • Academic work load allocation experience will be added advantage
  • Good communication, leadership, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism.
