Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) is hiring a Training Officer to support in organizing and implementing training activities and applying related tools within the mission according to MSF s standards and procedures to improve peoples capabilities effectively achieving the mission’s goals.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support the Intersectional Training Manager in performing training needs assessments, determining appropriate content and target groups for training, ensuring the continued improvements and preparing a calendar of trainings to ensure the coverage of the training needs and maintain high standards of quality
  • Organize and coordinate the logistics and administrative activities needed for learning activities
  • Participating in creation of any training material developed by the departments, including translating documents into local language: perform initial editing and proofreading and keeping the training materials available
  • Prepare relevant letters of invitation to support visa application for participants traveling to Uganda for trainings
  • Preparation and sharing of flight arrival and departure plans with hotels hosting the participants.
  • Critically review participants’ travel documents and visa’s
  • Follow up on service providers invoices to ensure timely payment and reconciliation with finance.
  • Preparation of Trainers per-diem requests and follow up to ensure timely cash release by finance.
  • Any other relevant tasks assigned by the supervisor
  • Committed and adhere to MSF Principles

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Education Degree in Education or Human Resources A Certificate in Training of Trainers is an added advantage.
  • Experience: 1 year working experience in a similar role
  • Previous working experience with MSF or other INGOs is an asset

Competences/ Skills.

  • Must be computer literate (word, outlook, excel) High level of organization and planning skills
  • High level of integrity and accountability Results and Quality Oriented. Teamwork; Flexibility Mobility
  • Able to work with Multi-disciplinary and Multicultural People and with flawless communication Language: English is essential French is an added advantage
