Hariss International is hiring a Utilities Team Leader to do the following duties and responsibilities;

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • General Management & Supervision of the Utilities department.
  • Direct Reporting to the utility & facility Engineer over all issues from the section.
  • Responsible for Periodic and Preventive Maintenance planning for all department Machinery in liaison with the utility & facility Engineer and oversee the plan execution.
  • To oversee and coordinate Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Good Health Practices (GHPs) within the department.
  • Coordinate the team for teamwork in quick problem troubleshooting and rectification to minimize machine downtime and ensure Maximum Efficiency.
  • Coordinate the team to ensure Energy Conservation to minimize costs and maximize profits.
  • Coordinate the team to ensure Documentation and all department Record keeping.
  • To identify the necessary trainings required by the department Staff and liaison with the utility & facility Engineer for Implementation.

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • A minimum of a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or any relevant discipline.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role in a busy environment.
  • Should be knowledgeable on high voltage systems, troubleshooting electric panels.
  • Work experience in power generation with diesel generators/transformers.
  • Knowledgeable on pumps, chillers, boilers and air compressors.
  • Good reporting and fast escalation skills.

Key Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
