Economic Policy Research Centre is hiring Volunteer Research Associate (3) to offer career development opportunities to holders of a master’s or doctorate degree in economics, quantitative economics, development economics, statistics or a related economic field.
Reports to: Senior Research Fellow (SRF- HOD)
Roles:
- Undertake empirical economic policy research and analysis
- Engage in commissioned work for and on behalf of the Centre
- Based on research findings and sound analysis, contribute to national policy discourse
Requirements:
Candidates for the Volunteer Research Associate program should be Ugandans and must have the following: –
- A Minimum of a Master’s or doctorate degree by coursework & research in economics, quantitative economics, statistics, or a related economic field from a reputable University
- Strong training background in economic theory and methods
- Demonstrated ability to use STATA, for data analysis
- Excellent writing skills
- High-level interpersonal and good communication skills
- Unquestionable integrity
The Volunteer Research Associate position is for one (1) year contract, with a possibility for renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
